I love participating in a variety of extracurricular activities but most importantly, sports. I've been on my school team since 7th grade and every year, I played at least one sport. The first one I played was tennis. My sister and I made the team which made it more fun because I had someone very close to me by my side daily. We made new friends that I still have until this day. I played tennis every year after that and since this is my last year in high school, I won't be able to play as much. The second sport I played was basketball. I joined in 7th grade and I enjoyed it a lot. I took a break from it until 10th grade. I was on the JV Basketball team and it kept me in shape. In 11th grade I made Varsity and it was very time consuming. I didn't play this year but wish I could have. Last, I ran track. I played from 7-9th grade and stopped. I did it to get in shape but personally, I don't like running when there's no purpose or source of motivation. I like to run to get something like a ball, not just run to see who's faster than me. I'm not sure if I'll play an sports in college but if I do, it'll be just for fun. My favorite sport is tennis, second is basketball, and last is track. I'm glad I got to be a part of multiple teams because I met many people through it, developed better social skills, and got to express myself in a positive way. I'm very competitive so sports is an outlet for my competitiveness.
